The team started the tournament with a 1-5 loss to the Fargo Angels, but rallied back to beat Fregus Falls 8-3. This advanced them to the #3B Diamond bracket where they first faced off against North Dakota's Mayport team. This game resulted in a 1-6 loss for the Rosemount team. They bounced back during the next game and came out on top with a 3-1 win over the MAML Moose to take them to the consolation game on Sunday where they would play against Eden Prairie. It was a hard-fought, defensive game that went scoreless in regulation. After a 5:00 overtime, the score was still 0-0. Halfway through double OT, Michael Carlson scored the game winning goal for the Rosemount Irish while Trent Nelson secured the shut-out in net.
